Age Limit: A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on March 31, 2024, i.e., candidate must have been born on or after April 01, 1994. Relaxation in age limits will be given as per applicable rules.
Reservations: Appropriate reservation will be given to candidates belonging to OBC (NCL), EWSs, SC, ST and PwBD candidates as per applicable laws.
Mode of Selection: Selection will be carried out in three phases. Phase I will be an on-line examination consisting of two papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase I will appear for Phase II, which will also be in the form of on-line examination(s) consisting of two papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase II will be called for an Interview. SEBI reserves the right to modify the selection procedure, if deemed fit.
Pay & Benefits: The pay scale of officers in Grade A is ₹ 44500-2500(4)-54500-2850(7)-74450-EB-2850(4)-85850-3300(1)-89150 (17 years).
Application Fee (Non-refundable): ₹1000/- as application fee cum intimation charges + 18% GST for Unreserved, OBC and EWSs category and ₹100/- as intimation charges + 18% GST for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates.
Pre-examination training for SC/ST/ OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates: SEBI will arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/ OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates, free of cost in online mode. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates, who desire to avail of the pre-examination training, should invariably fill in the details in the relevant column while filling the ON-LINE application. Any subsequent request shall not be entertained. Further, no other mode of request shall be entertained.
Educational Qualification
1. General
Number of Posts: 62
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years’ duration) in any discipline/ Bachelor’s Degree in Law/ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or Chartered Accountant/ Chartered Financial Analyst/ Company Secretary/ Cost Accountant.
*(Equivalent to a Master’s Degree in that discipline as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities).
2. Legal
Number of Posts: 5
Educational Qualification: Mandatory Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/ Institute.
Desirable Experience – Two years post qualification experience as an Advocate (including as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm) after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 (25 of 1961).
3. Information Technology
Number of Posts: 24
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post graduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science/ computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute.
4. Engineering (Electrical)
Number of Posts: 2
Educational Qualification: Mandatory Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
Desirable Experience – (i) Working knowledge of electronic systems like CCTV surveillance systems, Addressable Security Alarm and Fire Alarm systems, EPABX, UPS system, etc. (ii) Experience in maintenance of lifts, pumps, air-conditioning plants, etc. (iii) Experience of administering construction projects in all its aspects and knowledge of PERT/CPM techniques.
5. Research

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years’ duration) in Economics/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Financial Economics / Mathematical Economics/ Business Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Industrial Economics/ Business Analytics; OR
